ON PAPER

Drawing is where my thinking begins. It is an immediate process that brings me into a creative and instinctive space.

Working with charcoal, ink, and pastels, often from a live model, I draw quickly and respond intuitively to colour and tone. Colour becomes a way of describing flesh, space, and emotion rather than simply what I see.

I am not interested in copying or illustrating. Instead, I use drawing as a way of reinventing what is in front of me, allowing forms and ideas to emerge through the act of looking, feeling, and making.

All drawings featured in this gallery are available for sale. They are sold unframed, allowing collectors to choose a presentation that suits their own space.
